MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi! I’m Darshita Prathap, a high schooler based out of San Francisco Bay area, California. Ever since I picked up my first Crayola pencil in kindergarten, I’ve been fascinated with experimenting with colors, different mediums, and styles of art. I have received multiple awards for my artworks, including three National Scholastic Art Awards. Thanks to my wonderful teachers, I realized how art can improve wellbeing and innovation.
Goal of Elysian Smiles
I founded Elysian Smiles with a goal to provide my students with a platform to creatively express themselves and develop a lasting love for art. I take inspiration from art therapy, a discipline that incorporates creative methods of expression through visual art media.
I’ve been teaching art since 2019, helping my students receive school art awards and finding joy in the process. The materials we work with include colored pencils, watercolor, acrylics, chalk pastel, oil pastel, marker, and even origami.
